Provenir ‘Regen’ partnership with Harris Farm Markets

Provenir has supplied beef to Harris Farm Markets since 2019, so we are incredibly proud to have been announced as a Harris Farm Markets Regen partner, and part of their current ‘It’s All In The Soil’, Regenerative Agriculture (a.k.a Regen) campaign.
This new initiative from Harris Farm Markets aims to highlight the importance and benefits of regenerative farming.
Like Provenir, Harris Farm Markets believe in the importance and benefits of regenerative agriculture, because with healthier soil, we will have healthier food and a healthier planet.
For Provenir, being a Regen partner is an acknowledgement that our business practices around regenerative farming and animal welfare are important to not only suppliers, but consumers as well.
As a beef processor, we made a commitment to advance sustainable farming practices – in fact it’s one of our core values.
One way we do this, is by partnering with grass-fed cattle farmers who are caring for their land through the principles of regenerative agriculture.
What is regenerative agriculture?
As we face longer and more frequent periods of drought in Australia, and around the world, regenerative agriculture is gaining traction amongst farmers and conscience consumers.
Regenerative agriculture works to care for one of the earth’s most important natural resource – soil.
Soil consists of mineral particles, organic materials and living microorganisms. Regenerative agriculture focuses on building this organic matter. Basically, it lets nature do the work.
The 5 principles of regenerative agriculture are:
- No-till
- Protect soil
- Living roots
- Biodiversity
- Integrate livestock
How can I support Regen?
