Three Blue Ducks Meet Provenir in Delicious New TV Show
The Three Blue Ducks story began with three good mates, travelling the world, and cultivating ideas around a better, more sustainable approach to living.
Their restaurant philosophy is to implement ethical and sustainable business practices on all levels; working with honest suppliers who have the best quality produce.
Their latest adventure is a delicious foodie offering from Channel 10, where MasterChef Australia judge Andy Allen, and fellow head chefs Mark LaBrooy and Darren Robertson travel to Australia’s hottest food destinations.
On their travels, the boys meet the Provenir team on the farm of Bill and Joy Wearn in Southern New South Wales.
“Provenir is really changing the way we think about the processing side of things. By coming on site, and seeing the way the animals are cared for in their last moments. It’s a very close connection to the land and a very close connection to the animal”, said Chef Mark LaBrooy.
“When it comes to beef, the quality of the meat is heavily impacted by the welfare of the animal,” said Chef Andy Allen.
A passion for animal welfare and producing the best quality beef led Provenir to develop Australia’s first, and only, mobile on-farm abattoir.
Three Blue Ducks is on at 6pm Saturdays on Channel 10. The Provenir episode aired on 13 March. Watch the TV series on 10 Play now.

Behind the scenes on the TV show

The Provenir team had a fantastic expereince behind the scenes on the new Three Blue Ducks TV show.
“It was exciting to show the chefs from Three Blue Ducks, our unique way of processing Bill & Joy’s cattle, right there on the farm in our mobile abattoir.
Being able to process at the point of production not only provides the provenance and traceability they seek but also the meat quality that The Ducks have become famous for.
We’re really proud to have our story shared on national TV,” said Provenir’s Chris Balazs.

About Provenir
By eliminating the stress associated with live animal transport, Provenir is capturing the true provenance and quality of beef that our farmer partners work so hard to achieve.
Provenir’s start-up company was founded on the belief that there was a better way; better for animal welfare, better for farmers and better for meat quality.
“Together, we hope to build a community of conscientious consumers and farmers who share our vision for highest animal welfare practices and the celebration of true provenance”, said farmer and co-founder, Chris Balazs.
The Provenir team has even been awarded the 2020 Delicious Produce Award for Outstanding Innovation, Sustainability & Community. The Delicious Produce Awards celebrate Australia’s best and most innovative producers.
