At Provenir, sustainable food sourcing and usage is at the heart of everything we do. When we put so much care into producing our ethical beef, we want to make sure every bite is enjoyed. But sustainability isn’t just good for the planet—it’s also good for your wallet. By making more meals from our beef, you can stretch your family budget further, especially during these tight times.
We all know that sometimes our eyes are bigger than our stomachs, especially when ordering a roast. But don’t worry—leftovers create a treasure trove of possibilities! They can be transformed into mouth-watering dishes that are perfect for the next day or ready to be stashed in the freezer for later. This week, we’re sharing some of our favourite ways to make the most of your leftovers, starting with a scrumptious weekend roast beef.
A traditional meat pie is a classic way to repurpose leftovers. While traditionally made from scratch with fresh beef, try a slightly different take by using your leftover roast beef—just start halfway through the recipe and enjoy the time saved. With its rich flavour and crispy, topping, it’s hard to beat. But if meat pies aren’t a family favourite, don’t worry; we have plenty of other ideas for you.
Mexican and Spanish dishes are perfect for leftover beef. Whether it’s a simple Beef Taco or a spicy Mexican Beef Pizza topped with jalapeños, these recipes work wonders with leftover steak. So, next time you’re grilling our Porterhouse Steak, cook a couple of extra pieces—you’ll have lunch sorted for the next few days. Another favourite are Sausage Rolls, which always taste amazing with delicious leftover beef. These little pastry treats can be baked right away or frozen for later, making them a hit at any gathering.
With winter still lingering, a hearty Beef and Barley Soup is just the ticket. This recipe is a great way to use up those winter veggies, and it freezes beautifully. Barley adds a nutritious boost with its fibre, vitamin B, and iron—just don’t mention that to the kids!
The key to reinventing leftovers is to change up the flavours. After enjoying a roast, why not try something different with the leftovers? Our neighbours in Southeast Asia have perfected this approach, and the ever-popular Banh Mi is a perfect example. The combination of char siu sauce, fresh coriander, crunchy veggies and a slice of left over brisket roast, will have you forgetting all about the roast as the Vietnamese-French fusion flavours take over. There are countless variations to explore, but we recommend using thinly sliced or shredded Provenir Roast Beef like our Whole Point End Brisket.
These recipes not only help you make the most of your food but also keep you and your family well-fed with delicious, superior-quality protein.
What’s your favourite way to repurpose leftovers? We’d love to hear your ideas!
